The fine print
Privacy, minus the fog.
What this static demonstration site stores in your browser, what it does not collect, and what happens if you choose to open an email draft.

This site has no accounts, analytics, advertising trackers, payment processing, or backend form endpoint. Your gift list stays in local browser storage. The contact form prepares text locally and only opens your email application if you explicitly choose that option.
1. Scope of this policy
This policy explains the behavior of the Gloam & Gable static demonstration website. Gloam & Gable is presented as a design concept, not as a verified operating retailer or legal entity. This document does not describe a live shop’s data practices and should be replaced after a real business, hosting provider, and service stack are established.
2. Information entered in the contact form
The contact form asks for your name, email address, topic, and message. While you use the form, those values remain in the web page in your browser. Validation happens locally with JavaScript. This site does not send the values to a database, form service, or Gloam & Gable server.
If you select “Open email draft,” the site hands the subject and body to your device’s configured email application using a mailto: link. Nothing is sent merely because the draft opens. If you later choose to send it, your email provider and the recipient provider will process the information under their own policies.
The displayed address, gloamgable.parcels42@gmail.com, is an unverified demonstration address. Do not send sensitive, financial, or confidential information to it.
3. Gift-list local storage
When you save a product, the site stores its product ID under the key gloamGableGiftListV1 in your browser’s local storage. The list contains no name, email address, payment data, or precise location. It is used only to display and copy your selected demonstration products.
Local storage can behave differently in private browsing, locked-down browsers, or when a page is opened directly from a file. If storage is unavailable, the site attempts to keep the list only for the current page and tells you that persistence may not work.
4. Hosting and standard server logs
Opening the files directly does not require a web server. If you deploy this folder to a hosting provider, that provider may automatically process technical data such as IP address, requested URL, timestamp, browser type, and diagnostic logs. Those logs are controlled by the hosting service you choose, not by this static code. Review the provider’s documentation before publishing.
5. External services and embedded content
The delivered site uses no external fonts, analytics scripts, advertising pixels, embedded maps, social widgets, or third-party payment tools. All styles, scripts, and images are included locally. Links to your email application or telephone application depend on your own device and software.
6. Your choices and controls
- Open the gift-list panel and choose “Clear list” to remove the saved product IDs.
- Clear site data or local storage through your browser settings.
- Do not open or send the prepared email draft if you do not want your email software to process the text.
- Browse without entering anything in the contact form; the catalog and policies remain readable.
7. Children’s privacy
This static demo does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The family-themed products are gift concepts for browsing by adults. Children should not submit personal details through the email draft feature without appropriate adult involvement.
8. Changes and demonstration contact
If the project gains a backend, analytics, checkout, newsletter, or third-party embeds, this policy must be revised before those features are enabled. The “Last updated” date should reflect material changes.
For this design demo, the displayed contact is gloamgable.parcels42@gmail.com and (207) 555‑0148. Neither is a verified privacy-office contact. No postal address or data-protection representative is claimed.
